At Freedom Victory Centre we are believing for a "Spiritual Awakening" NOT a Revival. We are claiming this for the Durham Region, Ontario Canada, and beyond. It is the time of Harvest.

There is a difference between a "Spiritual Awakening" and a Revival. A Revival is described as a visitation of God's Spirit on God's people.  An "Awakening" is a time of such intense visitation that both the Christian and the non-believer are affected.

An "Awakening" is a revival of the "whole" community. This includes non-Christians as well as Christians. William McLoughlin calls it a "cultural revitalization", and explains that "revivals alter the lives of individuals; awakenings alter the world view of a "whole" people or culture."
